The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially announced the results for the highly anticipated Constable recruitment exam for 2024. Under Advertisement No. 01 of 2024, this examination was tailored to fill 4,002 vacancies within the Jammu and Kashmir Police, covering roles such as Armed, IRP, Executive, SDRF, and even specialized fields like Photographer and Telecommunication.
The recruitment exam, held over three dates in December—1st, 8th, and 22nd—involved a multiple-choice format with 100 questions aimed at gauging candidates' general knowledge, aptitude, and specific skills pertinent to the roles they applied for. As is typical for such exams, candidates were awarded one mark for every correct answer, while each incorrect answer resulted in a 0.25 mark deduction. This scoring format called for both accuracy and strategy from the test-takers.
Accessing the Results and Answer Keys
Candidates eagerly awaiting their results can now visit the official JKSSB website, jkssb.nic.in, where both the final results and answer keys are available. Navigating the 'Quick Links' or 'Results' sections will direct you to the 'Constable Result 2024' link. Enter your roll number and date of birth to view and download the results, ensuring you have a printout for any future reference during the next phases of the selection.
Prior to the release of the final answer keys, a provisional set was provided, offering candidates the chance to review and challenge any discrepancies. From December 9 to 11, 2024, candidates were invited to submit objections in person at JKSSB offices located in Jammu and Srinagar. A fee of ₹200 per objection was required, though this was refundable should the objection prove valid.
Next Steps for Qualified Candidates
With results in hand, successful candidates are set to move forward to subsequent stages of the selection process. This will include an intensive document verification phase and physical tests, designed to ensure the fitness and readiness of candidates for their respective roles within the police force.
