The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has taken a significant step forward in their recruitment process by releasing the exam city intimation slips for the RPF Constable Exam 2025. The much-anticipated Computer-Based Test (CBT) is set to kick off on March 2, 2025, and will run through till March 18, 2025. Candidates eager to participate can now check their exam city details by logging into the respective RRB regional websites. This move comes right on the heels of the release of admit cards on February 27, 2025, giving candidates ample time to prepare and plan for their exam day.
The recruitment drive this year is ambitious, aiming to fill a whopping 4,208 Constable positions within the prestigious Railway Protection Force (RPF). As a result, the exam is highly competitive, attracting a large number of applicants nationwide.
Exam Schedule and Format
The exams are to be conducted in three shifts each day to accommodate the large volume of candidates. The shifts are as follows: Morning from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Afternoon from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and Evening from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. This segmentation not only helps in managing the logistics but also ensures that all candidates have a fair shot at demonstrating their abilities.
The CBT itself is structured to evaluate candidates on three critical areas: General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. This is a robust assessment designed to test a candidate's comprehensive understanding and logical reasoning abilities. The total exam comprises 120 questions, each carrying a weight of one mark. However, candidates must be wary of the negative marking scheme, as a penalty of 1/3rd of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
Post-Exam Procedures
Once the CBT phase is completed, candidates who make the cut will move on to the Physical Measurement & Efficiency Tests (PMT/PET). These tests are crucial as they ensure that all potential recruits are not just intellectually capable but physically fit for the demanding roles within the RPF. Following this, candidates will undergo a rigorous document verification process and medical examination to finalize their eligibility.
The excitement and anticipation around the results are palpable, with many candidates eagerly waiting to see if their hard work will pay off. The final results, which will determine who secures a coveted spot within the RPF, are expected to be announced by April or May of 2025. This timeline gives candidates and their families a clear sense of when their future paths might be determined.
