Patparganj's Turnaround: From AAP to BJP
The Patparganj Assembly seat witnessed a dramatic turnaround in the 2025 elections, shifting from an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stronghold to a significant victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ravi Negi of BJP emerged as the new force in this political battleground, securing 54.99% of the votes, which translates to 54,077 ballots cast in his favor. This decisive win marks a stark contrast to the previous election, where AAP's Manish Sisodia managed a slender victory by just 3,207 votes. Now, AAP's candidate Avadh Ojha trailed significantly, capturing only 33.36% or 32,807 votes.
The Congress Party, once a dominant force in Delhi, found itself in a distant third. Their candidate, Anil Kumar, garnered just 10.2% of the vote, reflecting the party's continued struggle to regain a foothold in the region.
